Massacre In British Borneo.
HORRIBLE CARNA(JK. United Press Association. — By Electric ' Telegraph. — Copyright. Received May 18, 10.40 a.m. Sydney, May IS. Eastern files state that 150 rebels from the interior swept down upon tho residents of the little colony of Kawang, a railway srtation mkhvay botween Jesselton and Papnr, British Borneo, and butchered the inmates. Chinese shops were attacked and the railway station smashed. The murderers killed the wife and child of the stationmastor, the latter saving his life by hiding- in the bush. The band of murderers then turned thefir attention to tl|o coolies, most of them Chine-Be, killing- and wounding in savage fashion, rijjht and left. A railway driver and his wife were murdered. The carnage then became general. Males, females, and innocent babies were butchered in cold blood. The murderers aflso set fire to house?? and huts.
