At tbo Auckland Rifle Association meeting; the Central Match, which cturied with it the Star cup, was won by Sergeant Bryne, of the Thames. The Championship of Auckland (awurded to competitors making the highest aggregate scores at 300, GOO, 600, and 800 yards) was won hy Sergeant Alaingray. of the Piako .slountod Rifles with 162 points. Sergeant Brown, of Thames with a score" of 159 points was second, and Sergaant Clarke, of Wajhi (157 points), third. Private Cox (Victoria Rifles) won the rapidity match, and Private Moore (Jlawera) the unknown ranges match*.
