OPENING TO-MORROW NIGHT.
To-morrow night Mr Alfred Dampier and his double dramatic company open in ■ the Theatre * Royal with an Australian ..drama entitled "The Bush King." The following is from the Sydney Herald :-— " A stirring play that should* be seen. A well constructed drama, with. the. bracing perfume of the bush Upon it, and bushmen as its leading characters. Admirably acted, effectively staged, full of, .human interest, with pathos and humour judiciously alternating. Miss Lily; Dampier, who plays Elsa HarlingV is entrujsted with a part wkich nine actresses- out of ten would pro. bably overdo and spoil. Mr Alfred Dampier, the, head of the company, is manliness personifieH; his hanHlin; of the part' of NNcrd r the' Bushman Could scarcely US improved upon. But every member- te>f ijie company' is thoroughly capable ; there is no, weak spot in the cast." ■ . ..• On Thursday ?
