ADJUSTMENT OF ACCOUNTS. Report of the Taranaki Board's oomimittee in connection with v the adfustment of accounts with the Hjawera Board:— The comiblned committees ' of the two, boards m^t at New Plymouth on Friday, June X 2th. (2) The Taraiiajki Board to pay the Hawera Board the slum of £500 in full satisfaction of all clainu for excess of contingent assets retained by the Taraiudd,. Board./ (3)/ The Taranaki Boarjcl to take- over Ifae liquid assets arid liabilities, anjd the Hawera Board to pay the* Taranafki Board the sum of £415, as its proportionate share of excess of liabilities over assets. (4) The Tafanalki Board to pay ihe Hawera Board the sum of £75 being amjaunt i n trust for the Hawera grounds. (5) Contribution'in dispute due by EJawera County and subsidy thereon, £"220 2/8, to be treated • as> in abeyance until proved to be gooH. and when paid, the Taranaki Board pay ihe Hawera Board its " proportion according to valuation. Such agreements* as ."set forth to be sjufoject to confirmlation of the Tara— naki Hospital anjd Charitable Aifd Board! , ' Uipon the Taranalu Board aignifying its approval of the above set fortb satolement, the necessary legislation be proraoted to give effect tthereto, eadh Boartl to bear its half share of the cost. The Old' People's Home, in a'didition to the Taranaki Boaajcl's requiremenits. for its poor, to be arvnailable antl used for the aqcomm|o(clation of the'ltstttal elaKs' of inmates from the Hjawera district'; the Hj(awera Board to pay the Taranaki Board the aggregate cost, of each, ininjato who hails from the Hawera cWstrict, incluVling present inmates who originally oame from withip the- present H'awera Hospital district boundaries; the H'awesra Board to miafce progress payments for suich. inmates as from AjpriJ Ist, 1903, by quarterly instaJmieaits at t^he rate of 10/ for each miniate per week; the first 1 of siuch instalments to be due anid payable on Jiine 30th, 1003, an}d the final payment to be aWjustecl at the close of /each, financial t year, wihen aetaial cost is ascertai'nerl.
