PAYMENT OF CALLS. Per Press Association. Dunedin, June 15. The Lady Boxlburg Gold Drerlging Co. suod a shareholder for impaid calls. Defendant^ i>loa was that a certain director nad not properly paid his calls and therefore dcfeaidanf cojuld not be cqnr'polled to pay his. The director deposed that ho in. stvueted the secretax*y to credit his call account with £3 3s due to him for fees and that 'he paid the balance by cheque. Mr Carew, S.M., hold that, no proper provision having been made by the shareholders for their renVuneration after the reduction of their numbers, the directors had no authority to vote themselves fees and therefore the directors could not pay £3 3s in the manner stated and ho had not paid his calls on the date of tihe isswe of the proceedings. He mtist nonsjuit plaintiff with costs £2 16s.
