At the Borough Co|un,cil meeting on Wednesday evening a letter was read from Mr Mestayer dealing with, a communication from Messrs Weston aaid. Weston, objecting, on behalf of•Mr Weale, io *th» septic tanks being located on the proposed site on Mr King's property. He pointed out that there could be objectiotn from a 'health point of view, as no smell would escape from the tanks. Mr Mestayer' also forwarded tracings of land required on ihe railway reclamation, and advised that a pro mise should be— obtained that lines of raife would not be itun ojver the the tanks, as they would have to bo ,made much stronger, at additional cost, to carry railway traffic There was' no objection to ifcibe traffic, ex— cept on the iscore of added cost. Mr Brooking explained that so long as the running of the- railway was not interfered # with t^e Department was willing to allow tl\e land to be Used for sentic~ tanks without charge.
