RIBBONWOOD-FRITZ MATCH. j The New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club's Meeting began at Christchurch on Saturday. The weather 1 was fine, and ihere was an enormoius attendance. The Premier was among those present. The great attraction was the match between Ribbonwood , and Fritz. The latter was qiuite outclassed, Ribbonwood winning three r straight heats, 1 and reducing the record in the third to 2min lOsec. j Following are the results :—: — MATCH FOR £1100 £500 a-side j with VIOO arlded to winner).
