Cattle. — At Stratford on Tuesda; there was a big yarding of stock Bidding was quiet, but a fair amoun of business was done either at th hammer or privately. Weaners mad £1 to £1 4/, yearlings 40/ to 50/, II months to 20 months steers £3 3/6 t< £3 9/, 2* to 3 year bullocks £4 19/1 to £5 2/, heifers in calf £3 7/6 U £3 12/, store cows £2 15/ to £4, fa cows £4 IS/ to £5 5/. On Wednesday I held a clearing salt at Okato on account of Mr P. Dug gan. There was a large attendant and successful sale, everything sellinj well. Dairy cows made from £4 15, to £7, horses £15 10/ to £20, £•21 10/, trap horse £11. unbroU') light draught colts £20 1(1/, sioci pigs 15/6 to 41/, porkars 6t)/, si.r dries and furniture sold wsll.
