A note was also made that the rate at fd would bring in '£l0;370.,0/2. ', Mr Maxwell referred to the'*seribus falling off in the land revenue, and said that no doubt'the baus.e was that the Government were not putting the land in the rating area< into- the market as rapidly as a few years ago. Mr- King-said that, it seemed ,to him that the section in the report was explanatory of the- position-.- -Anyone could see the position from 1 the report.
