The scoring ipas very slow and at the nineteenth head Napier had registered only; 13 and Newtown 14; On the ,t\venthieth head Napier- got in two, one of them due to the Newtown skip taking out his own second shot,, so., that Kewtown required one tojtii andiwo t<o win- When the skips wer.t down -Netctowii was lying in and required two, but Evans sent in z. ' farm, one and got the shot. Price replied with a nice draw carrying tht }.Jkck and, lying one, and as neither; ipf : them made any further alteration the head ended in a draw.
Another head was played and when numbers three had finished Newtown was lying one, ; the result of a lucky shot by Price. The Napier skip failed to alter the state of affairs and Newtown ; thus 7 won by a point. :
