(Per Press Association.), Wellington, October s.— Mr Cameron Inspector of New Zealand Produce in London, in a report dated August 30th, says there is every likelfHood that butter and .cheese from the colony will have a good market during the coming season, especially butter, with a large demand at fair prices for both products. The season at Home has been rather unfavourable for the production of dairy produce, and there has been a deficiency in the make of both butter and cheese. Though Russia has been, sending greatly increased supplies, he does not tninK this will have any serious effect in lowering the demand for N.vO. nutter, as it will bo a considerable time before the Russian article can compete with N.Z. for quality and reliability. It, is, however, satisfactory to note that N.Z. producers have taken serious notice of Russian dairy development, and if the improvement this season in levelling up the quality of N.Z. butter is as marked as last year the result should thoroughly establish its good Cheese is capable of imuch improvement in packing, and 'factories should make half their output white and half coloured. To avoid smashing butter boxes must not be made. of lighter material than iD Wrftir?gton, October 7.— The AgentOeneral's cablegram dated 'London stn i S : _No alteration in the mutton or lamb market since last week.
