In regard to the question of voting power, the Conference announced that foe Tarsnaki Jockey" Club, Greymovth Jockey Club, Taraniki Dislriqt and Canterbury District (north of Hurunui) and Greyraonth .District Clubs should have two votes each. A was Set up, to meet in Christcburch in November, to enquire 4 ' v 'into moans of dealing locally with the large and increasing trainers and jock«ys provident funds. The Conference sat to-njght and got through a large amount of business. Dates submitted to the Conference were approved, with the following exceptions; — Danedin Jockey Clab, granted November 28 .and 30, or December 26 and 28 for Spring Meeting; Palmerston South Racing Club, granted January 1; Te Arbba Jockey Club, February 16 and 17; Dunedin Jockey Club, May 21 and 24; Egmont Racing Club, May 7 and 8; Nipier Park Club, July 2 and 4. The Westland and Southland Racing Clubs will be asked to select date;, to* be approved by ih3 Cl a'rman.
