♦_ [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.! Auckland, March 15.— Reed, ono of the survivors of the boating fatality, states that the party had been drinking about the town. When they were going off to the yacht a largea wave came through the railway wharf causing the dingy to roll. This threw Mary Campbell "on to Pert and the boat capsized. Reed is a good swimmer, and the woman Mills could also swim, but the others were unable. When the dingy overturned Mills seized Reed, the woman Campbell grabbed Mills, a.ul Pert look hold of Campbell. All sank and on coming to the surface Reed loosened his hold of the girl. The others then got to the dingy which had sunk. Reed swam to the scow Flora to try and get help and told Mills to swim for the shore, but she being hampered with clothing was unable to do this. Reed says he knows no more. Wanganui, March 15.— A young man named Daniel Robertson died in the Hospital this morning, the result of a fall from a horse in Main-street last evening. Whilst galloping the saddle twisted and the victim was thrown on his head and never regained consciousness.
