Dredging Notes.

The last portion of the machinery for the Perry's Reward dredge has reached Greymouth. The Greenstone Creek dredge is expected to be at work in a fortnight-, and the Greenstone Junction a few days later.

Reeves' Proprietary dredge obtained 14ozs of gold for 120 hours. Tne exact return from the Leviathan (says Tuesday's Argus) is 67ozs 12dwts of retorted gold. The exaot number of hours cannot be given, as, there were frequent interruptions and broken time, but the dredge has been employed close on a fortnight without furnishing any return. The gold has a good body, and in that respect is unlike the usual black sand gold. A good deal of attention has been given to the tables, which are now considered to be working in a very satisfactory way.
