The volunteers assembled for their biweekly drill on Wednesday evening, and after calling the roll Captain Gray spoke of the loss to the uation of our Sovereign. The meeting of the Horticultural Society adjourned on Wednesday evening on account of tho sad news.

A number of alterations are being made in the s.s. Kanieri so as to better cope with the increasing passenger traffic.
