WELLINGTON SUMMER MEETING. Second Day. fpbr pbbß3 association. | Hltt Racf.c-ovrse, January 25. — Heavy rain fell last night but the weather this morning is fine though cold. A southerly gale is blowing. The ceremonies connected with the death of the Queen, and the arrival of the re . turning troopers and the weather have affected the attendance. The course is in j good order. January Handicap. — Sirius, 1 ; Ruama- j hunga, 2 ; Queens Guard, 3. Scratched : Materoa. Perfection led for the greater portion of the journey, but at the turn Siriusjflcrept through and won rather easily by two lengths. Time, 2min. Div., Ll9 3s. Electric Handicap. — Cora Linn, 1; Full Cry, 2; Spider, 3. Scratched : Blazer, Ostiak, and Paphos. . Cora Linn and Chasseui led to the turn, when Cora Linn drew out a length, but was immediately challenged by Full Cry, and, a great struggle home resulted in a neck victory. Time, Imin 3 4-ssec. Div., L 4 ss.
