OTAROA ROAD.
TO TUB BDITOR Sib, — Two sums of money-^namely, £200 and £400 respectively— were placed on the Estimates some time ago for the above road, but the summer is advancing aod this highly requisite work ia still neglected. May I ask whether the amount is being retained to swell the anticipated " surp*os " at the end of the financial year ? — I am, &c, Ben. A. HroNETT. Waitara, 21st January, 1901.
