Brisba.nk; July 3.— A boy named Frank Hagolocker and J. Finigan, both employed in the city, have, been attacked by plague.

Wellington, July 3. — Tho Postal Department is advised that upon the arrival of the Mariposa at San Francisco on June Ist, passengers from Auckland, Samoa, and Honolulu were allowed to hnd on the day of arrival, after being examined by the. medical ofiicer. The passengers from Australia were landed at the quarantine station and their baggage fumigated, and they were released on the following day. The Board of Health and the Federal Quarantine Officer at San Francisco assert that twelve deaths from plague have occured in Chinxtown, San Francisco, during the last two or three months, and they have consequently quarantined Chinatown. The Governor of tho State and the merchants of San Francisco say that the deiths in Chinatown were not due to plague. They were bringing an aotiou against tho Board of Health the day the Mariposa left, asking them to, show causo why quarantine fcjiauld not be raised. Meanwhile v-essela are leaving San Franuisco with dean bills of health.
