BOER 3 ROUTED BY LORD METHUEN. LORD KITCHENER'S NARROW ESCAPE. Received Jure 21, 11.23 p.m. Loxnox, June 20. — Commandant Da Wet, on the 19th, obstructed Lord Methuen while the latter was escorting a large convoy to Heilbron. The Boers were routed. The British casualties were three. ■Received June 22, 9 15 a in. London, June 21. — The scene of Lord Kitchener's escape was a kopje siding, north of Kroonstaad. De Wet, with a force of nine huuurod jnen, got in close proximity to his sleeping car, upon which they were aiming their rifles and big guns, wlun . Lord Kitchener s.uldled-up and galloped to Rhenoster River, where thirteen hundred British were encamped.
