The Attempt on the Prince of Wales' Life.

Received April 7, 1.45 a.m. London, April 6.— The Queen, in response to enquiries, said she was quite well. She was shocked by the news, but was profoundly grateful for the Prince's escape. Copenhagen, April 6. — The Prince and Princess of Wales received an ovation at Copenhagen. They have been touched by the countless messages of sympathy, including messages from the Federal delegates, the Pope, and Dr. Leyds. Bhukselp, April 6.— The Belgian Parliament have reprobated the crime. The Socialist, members re-echoed this, but protested against Great Britain's collective crimjs in South Africa. A scene of tumult foilowed this statement. At Tuesday's meeting at Brussels, the pro-Boers described Queen Victoria as a "Red" Queen and a match for tho "Red Sultan," and vituperated tho Prince of Wales. London, April 7. — The Emperors of Austria and Germany called on the British Embassies at Berlin and Vienna. The honest section of the newspapers on the Continent denounce the dangerous and reckless abuse of England. Received, April 7, 10.10 a m. Adelaide, April 7. — The Women's Chi'istian Temperance Union Convention, in the name of six thousand women, resolved that heartfelt loyal congratulations be accorded the Prince of Wales on his escape. Melbourne, April 7. — The Consuls of tho various European Continental nations have waited on the Lieutenant-Governor and expressed congratulations upon the Prince of Wales' escape. Received April 7, 10.20 a.m. Brussels, April 6.— A man named Meert is alleged to be Sipido's instigator to the deed. He has been arrested, and the police are now seeking two accomplices. Sipido asserts that he acted out of bravado, to win a bet of five francs. The Premiers of the various colonies have cabled their congratulations to the Prince of Wales on his escape.
