At the S &t. Court on September 12tb, Mr Stanford dealt with the following cases :— Tho ease against Dcvenitt, ot Tariki, was dismissed without preju-* dice, at important witness being absent. The case may be brought on again if so desired . In- the civil cases*, C. O." Smith v. F. W. Sohriber, claim, £2, j zdgmenfc for amount with 9s costs.— Same v. H. Hoskin • judgment by default for £2 0» 9J and co3ts, 53 ; Dyer v. G. Payne, c!aim for 15a for rent. Defendant pro • duced a written statement sbowiog that Dyer promised to put up 8 water tank, which be ffiled to do, Payne having to get water from his neighbour. His Worship gave judgment for defendant.
