Definition of Hack. — A Hack meanß a * horse that has never won a race, Hack, Hunter, and Pony -Races excepted, a»d has'not been nominated withia the past three months for any race, Hack, Hunter, and Pony Racos excepted. All races to be run uuder the Rules of Racing as adopted by the Metropolitan Clubs of New Zealand. All nominations, acceptances, and entries must be addressed to the Secretary, New Plymouth, not later than 9 p.m. on the advertised date of closing. Full particulars of age, colours, and pedigrees must be forwarded with nominations. Tbe Committee reserve to themselves the right of filtering the dates of entry, acceptances, <£c , .and the dates on which the handicaps appear, should they deem fit. All disputes, claims, and objections arising shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, and their decisions upon points connected with tha carrying out of the programme shall be final, except in cises of appeal provided for by the Rules of Racing.
