CRICKET.
Instead of putting A and B teams in the field, as was proponed, the New Plymouth Cricket Club will play senior and junior elevens. The first eleven will play the Albions in the Recreation Grounds' on Thursday next, when they will be represented by Lash, Elliott, Barron,, Stohr, Haseli, McNicoll, Anderson, b. Kennell, W. T?ayly, Buckley, and Steeds. Emer gencies : S. Teed, Ward, and E. Dell. The second eleven— represented by Bennett, Knyvett, Shields, Gilmour, Tuke, Shaw, Billing, B. Kennel!, W. Beckett, Bundle, and Fookes, with Tingey and Bullot as emergencies — will play the Unity Club on the racecourse the same day ; wickets pitched in each case at two o'clock.
