The Society haß recently altered its Rules, making the following important concessions to Borrowing Members :— (1) The procuration fee of 1 per cent, has been abolished. (2) The Society now pays the costs of ; every mortgage, irrespective of the amount borrowed, and (3) Leaseholds, with provisions such as exist in " perpetual leases" and " leases in perpetuity," are now accepted as securities for loans.
