INGLEWOOD.

To-day, 2lst, is fine, making four out of 21 days that it has not been raining. I was speaking to a farmer last and he told me that the early potatoes were rotting in the ground through the excessive wet.
A grand social is to be he'd in the Parish Hall on the 23rd instant (Wednesday), for the purpose of raising funds to help in building the Catholic Church at Inglewood. It promises to be a great success. Besides the best 100 l talent, others are coming from New Plymouth, Stratford, Hawera, and other places. The Committee are working hard, and from what I can learn the Hall will be full to oveiflowing.
