McKinlay, cabinetmaker, who occupied part of the premises, lost £200 worth of stock and £70 worth of tools. Mrs Butler's furniture was Insured for £55, and the building for £125 inthe Commercial Union; McKin'ays stock £50 in the South British. The occupants, lost everything, while the neighbouring shops hid a narrow escape. EXCHANGES OF PRODUCE GRADERS. Wellington, October 27. The Education Board has discovered that certificates of the Sixth Standard- are being forged for the purpose of obtaining employment, etc. At present the standards ate all on one form, and those un passed are lefs blank. To prevent further forgeries Sixth Standard Certificates will be on a separate form and issued by Inspectors on'y instead of headmasters.
