KINEMATOGRAPH AND PHONOGRAPH ENTERTAINMENT.
Mr A. 11. Wmiteiiouse arrived from North tbis morning, bringing with him Edison's latest projecting kinetoscope, the only one of its kind iv Now Zealand, with which he will open a, short season at tlie Theatfe Royiil to-night. The pictures are shown by m6an« fa'f trio electric light, Mr Wliitehousu bringing his own dynamo with him, and tlm enables them to be Feen with remarkable distinctness. We have already published a letter rocoived by Mr AVlritehnuso from Mr Edison, which alone should be a guarantee of the genuineness of the show. Scarcoly inferior in its interest is the phonograph portion of tho entertainment, which includes a great tarioty bf splendid Uomfy iliclHdihg a fcyldphoho Solo, \vhich is described by an exchange as n perfect gotu. The present season will extend to two nights only.
