TURF ITEMS. So far as the present racing season has advanced in Australia, Carbine is at the head of the li*£ of winuing sires, with a total of £5965. Loohiel comes second, with £5300 ; and then follow Abercorn, £2000 ; and Trenton, a 1888. Acceptances tor a number of events at tho forthcoming T.J 0. meeting on Boxing Day close to-night. At the Christchurch Amateur Sports, on Thursday last, W. G. Wostouwon the 250 yds. Flat (for rtohoola) and made one of the Christ's College team of four who won the relay raco.
