London, B. —A telegram from Bombay states that British rein forcemenw reached Sadda, on the northwest frontier, just ia the nick of time. Three thousand Afridis were waiting for nightfall to attack tho garrison. The troops dispersed the tribesmen. An official despatch published with reference to the attack made by Waziri tribesmen upon a detachment of AngloIndian troops in the Tochi Valley, Afghanistan, in June last, describes the gallantry and devotion to duty shown by British officers, who, regardless of the fact that they were mortally wounded, continued to direct the movements of the native troops in withdrawing from the fire of the enemy. Many gave their lives in order to covor the withdrawal of their wounded comrades
