Adelaide, August 18. The revenue for the past year exceeded the estimate by £4-1,000, and the expenditure exceeded the amount voted by £26,000, but the year endod with a surplus of £23,600— this despite the worst wheat yield tho colony has ever known. The railway revenue increased by £34,000, while the saving of about £18,000 in annunl interest was made by the floating of the last conversion loan. It has been found impossible to remove the duties on the necissaries of life, but the income tax exemption will be raised from £120 to £200. Albany, August 16.
