Mr Watson stated that two directors of the Bank had been granted overdrafts on one account, though they had other accounts in credit. Mr Coopers opinion was there had been a technical breach of the section of the Act of 1895, prohibiting overdrafts to directors. * - j Several letters relating to th 9 Banking Legislation were put ip. Mr Watson was examined at considerable length by Mr Seddon respecting the Estates Company. He said a claim had been made by the Bank for £42,000 on the adjustment of the Estates Company.
