Mr and Mks Kennedy late of Middleton's Hotel paid a visit on their way to Wellington where they take charge of a hotel, which they have recently purchased. As Mr and Mrs Kennedy made many friends while living here they got a very friendly reception, being welcomed by those who happened to know of their passing through. They carry the best wishes of the whole district for their welfare.

I trust the produce will realise a good ftgurt, bringing in large profits, as tl * Oaonni-ites are a deserving lot of settlers in carrying out a soheme when others have failed. It is prognosticated they will have about 3000 gallons of milk daily next season. The Oaonui milk tests are higher this last few 'weeks than ever they were, which speaks well of the quality of the land. so has been the highest, by Mr E. O. Sullivan, from a farm he acquired about a year since from Mr Thos. Collins, situated between the Okahu and Moutoti streams.

A conversazione and entertainment in aid of the Church of EDgland takes place in the Town Hall on the 23rd. Much talent, including Miss Walford, of Eahotu, is engaged.
