Hobse Stock. — Messrs Buckland & Sons report that on Friday horses of a good class were required; medium draught were from £19 to £26; a pair of draught horses, £35; Bpring cart horses, £9 to £12 each. Wool, Hides, Skinb, &o.~ Messrs Q. W. Binney & Sons report that on Tuesday the competition for hides was brisk for all well got up lots; inferior are again easier*. Extra stout ox hides sold from 5d to 5Jd (no prime); stout, 3Jd to 4Jd; medium, 3Jd to 3|d light, 2}d to 3d ; cow, good lots, 3d to 3Jd; medium, 2Jd; inferior, 2Jd to 2Jd; calf, 3d to 4d; stags, Id to IJd per lb; damaged nominal. Sheepskins, local green, from 2s 6d" for small to 4s 4d for lßrgc; country salted and lambskins at equal prices. Tallow: prices still falling; good ordinary is worth 14s 6d to 15s; medium, 13s per cwt; rough fat, l\d to ljd per lb.— Messrs Buckland & Sons report that on Tuesday hides were without alteration. Stout ox hides ranged from 4Jd to 5Jd; medium, 3Jd to 4Jd ; damaged, from 2d; cow hides, 2Jd t« 3Jd; kip, 2d per lb; fat, ljdto I^l per lb. Butchers' sheepskins were mostly from 3s to 3s lOd; lambskins, Is 8d to 2s 8d; dry country skins, Is to 4s 2d each ; wool, sjd to 6Jd per lb. Cattle, Sheep, &o. — Messrs Buckland & Sons report that at Pukekohe, on Monday, a moderate supply of cafcjle, mostly young stock, were at late values ; dairy cows, at profit, were from 100s to 130s each. At Kemuera, dairy cattle, at profit, ranged from 90s to 145s ; store cattle in full supply, and were at moderate values ; fat and young calves sold freely. Fat cattle were in average supply, mostly steers of good quality ; heavy weights, shipborne, 18s ; Auckland steers, 21s the 1001 b, were the prices obtained. Sheep were in full number ; best quality at late values ; inferior of all classes better worth. Wethers ranged from 8s 9d to 14s 6d ; ewes, 7s 3d to lls ; lambs, 5s 6d to 12s ; store sheep, 4s to 7s. Killable pigs in average supply, aud were better worth than for than for several markets. — Messrs Hunter & Nolan report as folio W6 :— Cattle have bei» brought forward in average .numbers ; prices for fat stock were slightly in favour of the purchaser, but there were no alterations for other classes. The Newmarket yards were well supplied on Wednesday ; fat steers sold from 117s 6d to 197s 6d ; cows, from 75s to 110s; ox beef, from 17s to 19s the 1001 b; dairy cows, from 60s to 130s. Sheep : There was again a good muster, and prices were slightly in favor of the purchaser ; wethers sold from 9s to 14s 94 each ; ewes, 7s 3d to 9s 9d ; mixed sexes, 9s to 15s 9d ; lambs, 6s to 7s 6d. Pigs were plentiful ; baconers sold from 38s to 51s ; porkers soid from 27s to 325 ; 100 weaners, 4s 3d each.
