London, May 29. — Hill knocked up bis score in excellent style and his placing of the ball was much admired. Gregory played a lucky innings and was missed three times. Iredale opened nervously, but after settling down gave a brilliant display of hitting powers, registering six fours in succession. Kelly and be added 94 runs in 70 minutes. The wicket played well and the fielding of the home team was brilliant throughout. The innings occupied four hours. The Lancashire team are all out for 168.
