Germany is likely to abolish the sugar bounties. The Tarawera, from Auckland on Wednesday, took gold from the Ohinemuri goldfields to the value of £4753, and silver worth £269, for transhipment to London. All accounts in connection with the late Military Ball are requested to be sent in to the Secretary, care of Messrs Grayson and Cock, by noon on Friday. — Advt.
