[PER PREBS ASSOCIATION.] London, May 27.— Thedeath isannounced of Edward Armitoge, the well-known painter, aged 79. Nelson, May 27.— The death was announced to-day of an old settler— Mr Thomas, of Waimea Weat, aged 98. Mr F. O f W. Sturm, of Hawke's Bay, died on Saturday last, aged 85. The deceased came to New Zoaland with Baron Hochstetter's scientific expedition before it was a British colony^
