MR NEWTON KING'S WBEKLT AUCTION AND PRODUCE REPORT. At the Haymarket on Saturday pigs sold fairly well, slips made 2s 8d to 4s, small stores 4s 6d to Bs, horses made from 24s 6d to 110s. A quantity of fruit trees, ornamental and 'sheltw shrubs, &c, sold fairly well. At the mart fowls made from lid to Is sd, ducks Is 5d to Ib 7d, potatoes 3s to 4s per cwt, onions Jd Ib, bacon 3d to 6Jd, •heeso 3d. Sundries, furniture and clothing sold at prices in favor of purchasers. Fruit. —Oranges are plentiful and realise 4s 6d to 5s 6d, cooking apples 5s to 6s 6d. good russctts 3s, lemons Is doz. Cattle.—At Stony River on Wednesday there was a very small muster of stock, but competition for most lines was fairly brisk and with the exception of a few store cows nearly everything was sold at satisfactory prices. Calves made 15s to 16s, strong well grown calves 23s 6d, store cows 25s to 32s 6d, springing heifers 74s 6d to 755, 2 to 2J year steers 43s to 60s 6d, fat cows 62s to 755.

Messrs Wyllie i & Hignett report: — At our usual cattle sale, held in the Waitara saleyards on Tuesday last, we had a good muster of stock which were well competed for. Young cattle and dairy cattle selling remarkably well. We quote : Small calves 5s to 15s, weaners 16a to 235, yearlings 24s to 38s 6d, 18 months mixed 38s 6d to 435, old store cows 20s to 355, store cowa 43n to 495, bulls 22s to 255, 3J to 4 year steers 755, fat cows 63s to 72s 6d, backward heifere 58s 6d to 755, springing cows 92s 6d to 110s, heifers with calf at foot 84s to 102s, horse, saddle and bridle, 80s.J

Mbssbs Vickeeb & Stevens report that there was a good muster of cattle at the Inglewood yards on Wednesday and a large attendance. Prices of cattle remained at aVout late rates. Small calves 8s to 12a, good calves 14s to 20s, yearlings 20s to 30s, 15 to IS months mixed 36s to 38s, 2 year old steers 445, springers 70s to 85s, store cows 25s to 50s, fat cows 65s to 70s. MESSRS NOLAN TONES & COS STOCK REPORT. Messes Nolan, Tones & Co. report:— Owing to Egmont races being held on 7th and Bth inst our Hawera sale was put ofi till 10th inst. The yards were well filled and keen enquiry throughout. At Opunake on the 12th inst about the usual number were yarded most of which were disposed of. At Kakaramca on 14th inst the quantity advertised came forward and found ready sale. During the last fortnight we have sold several lines of both Bheep and forward steers, all of which there has been good enquiry for. We quote.—At Hawera—Weavers 19s to 28s, weaners to yearlings 28s to 335, 18 months steers 36s 6d to 42s 6d, 2 year steers 45s to 52s fid, 2J year steers 61s to 655, 3 year bullocks 73s to 80s, fat cows 72s 6d to 80s, forward cows 60s to 675, store cows 44s to 52s 6d, cows and calves 62s to 675, 2 year heifers 36s to 40s. At Opunake—2-year heifere 37s 6d to 40s, store cows 40s to 47s 6d, 18 months to 2 year steers 42s 6d to 455, mixed yearlin4 29s to 335, 3 year steers 78a, springers 70s to 85s. At Kakaramea—Calves 12s to 16s, weaners 20a to 275, cows 45s to 52s 6d. fat cows 75s to 80s, fresh condition cows 65s to 68s, 2 year steers 50s to 555, 2 year heifers 38s to 42s 6d. Sheep—At Hawera—Lambs (woolly) 6s, hoggets 6s 3d to 7s 6d.
