Wellington, May 14. The Coloninl Secretary, Sir James Hector, Messrs J. C. Martin, (S.M.), W H. Quick, and John Ross (of Wellington;, are gazetted a Board for tho purpose of considering and reporting upon applications for awards under the Order -in - Council instituting a decorative distinction to be conferred on persons who have distinguished themselves in saving or attempting to save human life or by other brave deeds.
