FRANKLEY ROAD.

(FROM ciDU OWN CORRESPONnENT.T The annual meeting of householders was held on Monday evening. The attendance was the largest on record. Thero are quite a number of new settlers on the road, the result is, that the number on the school roll has risen to 59 at the end of March 1895 to 76 at the end of last march; and we hope that the average attendance will soon enable us to get an assistant teacher. The school has been painted both inside out; and is a credit to the district. The neatness and order inside the school do the master credit. The Chairman (Mr J. Veale) read the report and balance-sheet. There were nine gentlemen nominated for the committee, with the following result : — Messrs Vealo, 25 ; Arden, 24 ; McKeown, 23 ; Davies, 22 ; Glegg, ID ; Lobb, 15 ; Langman, 15 ; Billing 14, and Wallath, 10. The first seven were declared elected. At the committee meeting, held at the close of the above, Mr Veale was reelected Chairman.
