FOOTBALL.
The annual meeting of the Taranaki Rugby Union was held at Hawera on Wednesday night. A great deal of formal business was transacted. Messrs G. Syme, A. Bayly, and S. Adam son were elected a Splection Committee. The Cup matches ffill be started the third week in May.
The Waimate Club play Parneli at Auckland to-morrow, and before they return they will probably meet the Thdmes.
