A Melbourne ■woman who recently went on a holiday devised, as she thought, a very simple and effective plan for keeping her jewels from the voracious maw of the enterprising burglar. She placed them at the bottom of a tin of biscuits, ilt so happened during her holiday thai the husband determined on leaving his abode, and to that end he gave orders fpr tbe> household goods to be sold. The biscuit tin was thrown into a large box and knocked down as rubbish for- 6d. The lucky bidder soon made hitnsels scarce, and the relations of busband and wife since have not been particalary felicitous.

My boy was taken with a disease resembling bloody flux. The first thing I thought of was Chamberlain's Colic, Cholera and Diarrhoea Remedy. Two doses of it settled the matter and cured him sound and well. I heartily recommend this remedy to all persons suffering from a like complaint. I will answer any inquiries regarding it when stamp is enclosed. I refer to any county official aa to my reliability. Wji. Roach, J.P. , Primroy, Campbell Co. , Tetm.
