DEAN ACCQUITTED. | PKR PBBBS ASSOCIATION | Invercakgill, June 8. — At the Magistrate's Court Mr Poynton committed Minnie Dean for trial on the charge of the murder of Dorothy Edith Carter, and discharged Charles Dean. He said there waa no evidence at all against the husband, and he left the Court without a stain on his character. The police, how- - ever, -were justified in arresting 'him aa they did not know what evidence might turn up. Mr Hatilpn, the solicitor for the accused, admitted the police acted fairly and were entitled to credit for the way they worked up the case. Dean shook hands with' hia. solicitor and left the Court.
