COURT-MARTIAL IN SYDNEY.
CAPTAIN AND~THE SURGEON BEFORE THE COtTRT. EACH PLACES THE OTHER UNDER ARREST. [feu tress association.] Sydney, April 30.—The Court-martial in connection with tho trouble on board H.M.S. Ringarooma has commenced. The following charges are laid against Surgeon Lee by Captain Johnston, viz. —Treating the captain contemptuously;,refusing to go below when ordered to be placed under arrest; and refusing to obey tne command to sign the entry in the log stating that ho had been placed under arrest. It transpires that Captain Johnston charged Surgeon Leo with ueglect of duty in connection with certain,provision made for the treatment of the wounded in action. The doctor bold that ho matter complained of was not a part of his duty. Later in the day the doctor ordered the captain to go below, as ho was en tho sick list, and required t<o be placed under observation.
