The matters wero brought to an issue by the old chief Kereru, who 'last year gave the Premier a taiaha. Ho said ho had promised there should be no opposition and he was not going to eat his words. After this there was nothing to be said. The Recreation Grounds Working Bee on Thursday next will be composed of members of the Order of Foresters from Couits Taranaki and Waireka. Work xrill commonco at 2 o'clock. Afternoon tea will be provided by tire Bisters of the Order,
