H^HEREAS in tbe year of our Lord eighteen hundred and seventyfive, in pursuance and exercise of his own free will, Kicßard Cock did start in business in Brougham-street, at that time the best known business portion of the town of New Plymouth. Whereas by the grace of God the said Kichard Cock, during that long period, had given unto him a son, and the said son now desires that he shall follow in the old line of business carried oa by his father, It is hereby notified that it is the intention of Richard Cock aforesaid to assist his said son by establishing a provision store in the shop formerly in the occupation of the late J. T. Davis, next the Criterion Hotel, under the style of R. Cock & Son. Now, therefore, be it also enacted that the said Kichard Cock tenders his best thanks to the public for their favors during the last twenty years, and would ask for a continuance of public patronage to the new firm. Richard Cock also respectfully asks that all accounts due to him be paid by the end of January. The new shop will be opened on Tuesday, January 15th, 1895.
