Money Securities.— Consols (Goschen's) 2J to 2J per cent, now at 104}. New Zealand securities quoted as follows : — 4 per cent 1879-1904 loan, 106 ; 3£ uer cent, inscribed 100]. Three months' bills are discounted at ;j per cent ; and Bank rate of discount is now 2} per cent. Total reserve in the Bank of England in notes and bullion is now £25,165,000, being an increase of £1,188,000 on previous week. Proportion of reserve to liabilities is 53-00 per cent., being a decrease oulastweck of 0-68 per cent. BREADSTnFFS.-Wheat market: Australian store, 24s Gd to 25s ljd per 496 ft (quiet) ; N.Z, long-berried wheat ex warehouse, 25s per 496ib. Tallow. — Tallow is dull of sale. Beef, medium 21s ; medium mutton, 22s

Leather. — Best sides Australian leather BJd perlb: hides are realising from 3d to3*d. Flax. — New Zealand hemp market is unchanged Frozen Meat. — Mutton market has p.n upward tendency. Canterbury mutton, 4d ; Welington mutton, 3,<d per lb respectively. Prime New Zealand lambs are worth per carcase 4?<l per lb., for first quality, and Australian 4d.

Butter.— Butter market is unchanged. Fine qualities New Zealand are worth from £4 IGs to £"> per cwt. Wool. — The wool sales opened on Wednesday with a good catalogue and prices were maintained."" Bidding is fair, especially for stylish combing wools. Buyers are chiefly" from the continent, but a few good lots will be taken to America.
