Sydney, November 19. The Sydney Mcining Herald, commenting on the New Zealand Village Settlement report, regards the system as an indisputable success, and compares it with the unfavorable results attained in Australia. Captain Vos, skipper of the William Hanson, has been arrested in Sydney. on a similar charge to the others . Adelaide, November 18. Sir James Fergusson has arrived here from Lendon, and after a brief 3tay in Australia goes on to New Zealand. He states the announcement of his son's arrest on a charge of setting fire to Trinity College, at Glenalmond, in Scotland, wa3 inaccurate, and he received a cable at Colombo that his son had been in some trouble, but the matter had been settled almost immediately. Brisbane, November 18. Hall, the chief officer, and three of the crew of the William Manson, have been arrested on a charge of kidnapping natives in the Pacific Islands. Warrants have also been issued for the arrest of three othere. Hobabx, November 19. The attendance at the Exhibition is not up to expectations.
