Potatoes £1 5s to £1 17s Gd; onions £8; flax: good prime £20 to £21; inferior £17 to £10. Butter : Dairy, 6d to 7d ; factory, 8d to fld, with downward tendency ; bacon from 3d to 7d ; cheese, (N.Z.) 5Jd. Flax, £17 to £V 9 ; bran, osd'; pollard, GJd. "WOOL. — The local wool sales opened on "Wednesday, and there was a good selection and a large attendance. Competition was keen but prices ruled five to 10 per cent below last year's opening rates.
