SUDDEN DEATH ON THE EXPRESS TRAIN.
On the arrival of the express from Wellington at the station on Friday night, Mr J. Hogan, late master of the Kohimarama Boy's Training School, Auckland, died. The deceased had been ill for some time previously, and was hai-aiy in a fit condition for travelling At the Bell block station he was taken worse, and expired on arrival •at New Plymouth. Mr Hogan, was married to a daughter of Mrs Geo. Charnock of Wanganui, who is well known here. Mrs Charnock was travelling Mr Hogan, and made arrangements for the conveyance of the body to Aucklnnd by the s.s. " Takapuna, which left this morning. Mr Hogan leaves a family to mourn his loss. It is understood a certificate of death will be forwarded by the doctor under whose care Mr Hoj;an was for a short timo in Waugauui. An inquest was not considered necessary.
