The Moors made a fierce attack on the Spaniards ongagod in constructing redoubts near Manilla, and drove them inside the forts and occupied tho trenches. The Spanish troops having obtained reinforcements ejected the Moors after a fierce struggle, with heavy loss of life. Among the Spanish officers killed was General Lazzarillo. Two more regiments have been despatched to Manilla.
